LG directs to withdraw the land acquisition proceedings (de-notification of the land) in respect of the land situated within the delineated boundaries of 1731 Unauthorized Colonies (UCs) (excluding 69 affluent UCs).

A major step for conferring/recognizing ownership rights to the residents of    UCs for smooth implementation of PM-UDAY (PM -unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna) : LG

Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi Sh. Anil Baijal issued directions to withdraw the land acquisition proceedings (de-notify the land) in respect of the land situated within the delineated boundaries of 1731 Unauthorized Colonies (excluding 69 affluent UCs) for smooth implementation of PM-UDAY (PM -unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna) conferring/recognising ownership rights to the residents of unauthorized colonies.

Detailed orders outlining the procedure for the same have been issued last evening by the Land Building Department with the approval of Hon’ble Lt. Governor.

Hon’ble LG stated that this is a major step taken for conferring/recognizing ownership rights to the residents of UCs for land where ever the proceedings of land acquisition is not completed and will also help in smooth implementation of PM-UDAY (PM - unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna).
