Education is undeniably the most powerful tool to change the world for the better. A good school provides a conducive environment for the innate abilities of the children to flourish. Likewise, a good teacher is a friend, philosopher & guide. Even during our later years in life the thoughts, teachings and mental image of our teachers keep guiding us in many ways. Such is the influence of a good teacher, good school and good education!

I have had the privilege of being associated closely with teachers fraternity of Delhi, especially during my tenure as the Director of Education. Therefore, today when I write this message for some of the best students, teachers and schools of the Directorate of Education, I do feel the bonding. I am sure, the awardee students and teachers will work with even greater zeal in their respective fields in the service of this country!
