Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi administers oath to members of the newly reconstituted New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)

Hon’ble CM, Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and Hon’ble MP, Meenakshi Lekhi sworn-in as Members of New Delhi Municipal Council.

Chief Secretary, Delhi, Sh. Vijay Kumar Dev also swears-in as Chairperson and Member, NDMC

Hon,ble Lt. Governor of Delhi, Sh. Anil Baijal administered the oath of faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India to the members of the newly constituted New Delhi Municipal Council including Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble CM Delhi,  Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon’ble MP, New Delhi, Sh. Surender Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Delhi Cantonment Board, Sh. Vijay Kumar Dev, Chief Secretary, Delhi, Sh. Govind Mohan, Additional Secretary (UT), MHA, Ms. Nandita Gupta, Joint Secretary (L&E), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Ms. Manisha Saxena, Secretary (UD), GNCTD and Sh. Vikas Anand, IAS consequent upon its reconstitution by the Government of India.

The New Delhi Municipal Council has been reconstituted under Section-4 of the NDMC Act-1994 vide a notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The duration of the Council is five years from the date appointed for its first meeting.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and Hon’ble Member of Parliament (New Delhi), Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi under the NDMC area have been nominated as Members of the Council. Chief Secretary, Delhi, Sh. Vijay Kumar Dev also has been nominated as Chairperson & Member of New Delhi Municipal Council.
