Instructed Medical Director to provide the best possible treatment

Hon’ble Lt. Governor Delhi, Sh. Anil Baijal paid his deepest condolences to families who lost their dear ones in tragic fire incident at Zakir Nagar.

Hon’ble LG today visited Holy Family Hospital to meet the victims of Zakir Nagar fire incident. During his visit he appreciated the good and prompt attention given by the hospital doctors/staff to the injured and thanked them for the same. All possible help was assured to the affected families.

Hon’ble LG directed SDMC and Delhi Police to take stern action against those found guilty in the planning and development of this four storeyed building in a congested area with no access for emergency services.

Hon’ble LG also met the injured fire personnel and appreciated the Delhi Fire Service for hard and dedicated work to reach an extremely inaccessible area and douse the fire to rescue the victims of the fire incident. Hon’ble LG instructed Director, Delhi Fire Service to upgrade necessary fire fighting equipment with the use of technology to keep pace with the changing needs of the city. Google map locators, robotic fire fighters, smaller fire tenders, high pressure water hoses etc. should be added to the fleet to improve capability for fire fighting in the densely congested areas.
