Carpet Export Promotion Council is organizing the 37th edition of India Carpet Expo

I am pleased to learn that the Carpet Export Promotion Council is organizing the 37th edition of India Carpet Expo from 10th to 13th March, 2019 in New Delhi.

India has an ancient heritage of carpet weaving, a craft that requires skill and expertise. Indian handmade carpet sector of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) and home-based cottage industries is perhaps the only sector in rural India that is almost 100% export oriented and provides direct employment to the millions of weavers and artisans.

The Expo will provide an excellent opportunity to MSME’s and exporters to showcase their latest range of products under one roof. I am happy to note that the organizers are bringing out a Fair Directory containing valuable information about the handmade carpet industry and participating exhibitors.
