Commissioner of Police, Shri Anurag Kumar Ji,
Special CP (L&O), Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastava Ji,
Principal, Ms. Ruby Malhotra,
Distinguished members, of the school management and faculty
Proud parents, and my dear students
Academic achievement, is the result of sustained effort, discipline, and the determination, to do one’s best. Today’s felicitation ceremony, recognises these qualities, and celebrates, the accomplishments, of our students.
I congratulate, all the award recipients, their parents, and teachers, whose encouragement, and guidance, have contributed, to these achievements.
A good result reflects, months of preparation, and commitment. But behind every achievement, lies something more:, the ability to remain focused, overcome difficulties, and keep working, towards a goal. These qualities, will serve you well, not only in your studies, but throughout your lives.
As you celebrate, your achievements, I encourage you, to look beyond, marks and distinctions. Academic excellence is important, but education must also, develop character, confidence, integrity, and a sense of responsibility. Marks may create opportunities, but your values, judgment, and willingness to learn, will help you, make the most of them.
I am pleased to note, that Delhi Police Public School, has completed 37 years of its journey, under the aegis of PFED. This represents, decades of commitment, to nurturing young minds, and contributing to education.
The school’s endeavour, to make quality education, accessible to children, from different backgrounds, is particularly important.
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, has consistently encouraged, young people to dream big, and work towards, their aspirations. A dream gives direction to your ambition, and determination turns, that ambition, into achievement.
Do not be afraid, to imagine a future beyond, what seems possible today. Have the confidence, to set high goals, the patience to work, towards them, and the courage to learn, from setbacks. Your dreams need not, be limited, by your present circumstances; let them inspire you, to discover, what you are capable, of achieving.
Remember that every student, has different strengths. Some excel, in academics, others in sports, the arts, technology, communication, or leadership.
Discover what interests you, develop your abilities, and respect the talents, of others. Those receiving awards today, should treat this recognition, as encouragement, to keep progressing. Those who may not have, received an award, must remember, that one examination cannot, define their potential, or determine their future. What matters is, the willingness to learn, from experience, and continue improving.
Curiosity, is one of the most valuable qualities, a student can develop. Ask questions, examine ideas, listen to different perspectives, and learn to form, your own considered opinions. The ability to think independently, and engage constructively, with others, will remain valuable, in every field you choose.
Every visit to a school, brings back memories, of one’s own school days— the classrooms, friendships, teachers, and ambitions, that remain an important part, of our lives. School is, where we begin to understand, not only, the world around us, but also ourselves.
The lessons learnt here, inside and outside, the classroom, often shape the choices, we make, in the years ahead.
As you move forward, make the best use, of the opportunities, available to you. Technology is changing, the way we learn, communicate and work.
Embrace these developments, with an open mind, while using technology, responsibly. Cultivate, creativity, develop practical skills, and remain, willing to adapt. Equally important, respect others, remain sensitive, to their circumstances, and be conscious of, your responsibilities, towards society.
India’s progress, depends on young citizens, who combine knowledge, with character, ambition, with discipline, and personal achievement, with a commitment, to the larger good. Success becomes more meaningful, when it enables us, to contribute positively, to the lives of others. Whatever profession you choose, strive to perform, your responsibilities, with sincerity and integrity.
I congratulate all the students, being felicitated today, and commend their parents, and teachers, for their contribution. I also extend, my appreciation to the Principal, and the school management, for their continued efforts, in creating an environment, in which young people, can learn and grow.
My dear students, believe in your abilities, work sincerely, towards your aspirations, and have the courage, to keep moving forward. Let your achievements, bring happiness, to your families, pride to your school, and value to the nation.
Thank You.
Jai Hind.
