Today’s Niyukti Samaroh is a defining moment—not only for the institution, but for each one of you who has received your appointment letter.

Over the past year, DDA has undertaken a comprehensive and carefully structured recruitment drive for 2025. This exercise was not only about filling vacancies—it was about preparing the institution for the scale and complexity of the challenges that a rapidly growing city like Delhi presents.

Equally important is the manner in which this recruitment process was conducted.

Transparency, fairness, and efficiency were central to the approach. The entire process was designed to uphold merit and ensure that deserving candidates are selected through a structured and credible system. Today’s ceremony marks the culmination of that effort.

To the new members joining the Delhi Development Authority, my heartfelt congratulations. This achievement is the result of your hard work, discipline, and perseverance through a rigorous and transparent selection process. You have earned your place here on merit.

But today is not just about selection—it is about responsibility.

Today marks the beginning of your professional journey in public service—a path that is as rewarding as it is demanding.

We are living in an era of profound transformation. This occasion is not merely about administrative appointments; it represents a broader shift in governance across our nation. We are currently traversing the ‘Amrit Kaal’, a defining period where our actions today will determine the India of 2047. In this journey toward a ‘Viksit Bharat’, your role is not just supportive—it is foundational. The role of personnel entering public service is central to achieving our national objective of a Viksit Dilli and Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ is the national goal. He has rightly said:

“With innovative ideas, energy and purpose, Yuva Shakti is at the forefront of nation-building.”

As you step into your roles, you are becoming part of an institution that plays a central role in shaping the future of Delhi. The work you will do—whether in administration, planning, engineering, or field services—will directly influence how this city grows, how its spaces are designed, and how its citizens experience everyday life.

You are entering service at a time when cities are facing complex challenges—rapid urbanisation, environmental pressures, and increasing expectations from citizens. Addressing these challenges will require not only technical competence, but also commitment, innovation, and ethical clarity.

I would urge each one of you to take your responsibilities seriously from the very beginning. Do not see your role as just a job. See it as a contribution to something larger—an opportunity to build systems that are fair, efficient, and responsive. The decisions you make, the diligence you show, and the standards you uphold will define not just your career, but also the credibility of the institution you serve.

At the same time, remember that public service is also about people. Behind every file, every project, and every policy, there are citizens whose lives are affected by your work. Approach your responsibilities with empathy as well as professionalism.

The future of any institution depends on the quality of its people. Today, as you begin this journey, you are becoming part of that foundation.

I wish you a purposeful and distinguished path ahead. Let us work together to build a Delhi that truly represents the vision of a Modern and Viksit Bharat.
