Dear Students,

09.    In the resurgent of India of today, you are the inheritors of the legacy of an ancient civilization that excelled in not only spiritualism but sciences as well. Even if one were to discount the mythical, concrete evidences available in the form of treatise of Aryabhatt, Madhav, Varah Mihir, Brahmgupta, Baudhyan and Mahavira. You are the inheritors of those who created the engineering marvels of our temples spread all across South India. You are the inheritors of the legacies of Jagdish Chandra Bose, Srinivas Ramanujan, CV Raman, Homi Jehangir Bhabha and Meghnad Shah to name a few.

10.    It would be only rightful on my part to expect from you that you not only carry forward this brilliant legacy but enrich it further.  Remember my dear students, that the contributions you make as you pursue your path ahead will impact humankind.  Apart from a hefty salary and a successful material life, your aims should always take into consideration the last person sitting on the margins of the society.  Your endeavours should be towards the larger goal of nation building.

11.    As you leave this campus today with your degrees, know that you are now part of a global community of around 4,000 alumni. This community is a source of support and inspiration, filled with individuals who have gone on to make significant contributions in diverse fields. Stay connected with the institute and with each other as you continue to learn, grow, and achieve great things.

12.    Today, as you reflect on your journey, take pride in how far you have come. Yet, also keep in mind the endless possibilities that lie ahead. You are the next generation of leaders, researchers, and change-makers. Your determination, creativity, and empathy will shape the future, not only for yourselves but for society at large.

13.    Once again, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the graduating students and their families. May this be the beginning of a journey filled with success, growth, and fulfilment.

Thank you, and best wishes for the future!

JAI HIND!
