The Lt Governor, Shri V.K Saxena did an on-site inspection and took stock of the works and progress at the upcoming Bharat Vandana Park in Dwarka today. An ambitious project, depicting India's rich cultural, linguistic and geographical diversity in all its hues- the Bharat Vandana Park which aims at creating a Mini India in the National Capital, is being developed by the NBCC under the aegis of DDA.
After undertaking a round of and witnessing the civil works in progress, the LG directed senior officials of the DDA and NBCC present on the occasion to ensure highest standards of construction through constant quality controls and checks. No compromise in quality will be accepted, he stressed.
Asking the officials to try and complete the project for dedication to the Nation and the City before the scheduled deadline, Shri Saxena said that he will personally monitor physical progress through site visits on a monthly basis.
Satisfied at progress made so far, despite the pandemic related lockdowns and periodic pollution related bans on construction in the City, the LG said that this iconic project will not only bring about a sea change in the landscape of the area but also emerge as a world class recreational and educational tourist destination for residents of the City and its visitors alike.
Shri Saxena underlined that its timely completion and public dedication during the ongoing Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- AKAM, will be a befitting tribute to commemorate 75 years of our independence in line with the theme of "Action" and "Achievement" enunciated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister.
