• LG unfurls Tricolour at Raj Niwas on 76th Independence Day.
Lt. Governor Shri V.K. Saxena, together with officers and staff of the Lt. Governor’s Secretariat, participated in Independence Day celebrations at Raj Niwas on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day.
On this momentous occasion, the Lt. Governor unfurled the National Flag at Raj Niwas, with the Police contingent providing the National Salute.
Shri Saxena remembered the martyrs and the heroes of India’s freedom struggle and said it is because of their supreme sacrifices that our generation has been living freely. He said the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is truly the celebration of the lives and sacrifices of our great heroes who earned us independence.
During the celebration of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' at Raj Niwas, LG also honoured and felecitated Delhi-based veteran freedom fighter Manyavar Gobind Vashistha Narayan Pandey, a resident of Burari, whose experiences of Azad Hind Fauj are thrilling and inspirational for all of us.
In his address to the officers and staff, he exhorted all to renew their pledge to serve the nation with greater vigour, sincerity and commitment.
Shri Saxena extended his warms wishes to all on the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day.
