Institute of Town Planners, India is organizing the 68th National Town and Country Planners Congress

I am pleased to learn that the Institute of Town Planners, India is organizing the 68th National Town and Country Planners Congress on the theme ‘National Missions: Spatial Planning and Implementation Initiatives’ from11th – 13th January, 2020 in Navi Mumbai.
Cities and towns, the prime drivers of socio-economic development, are today grappling with the challenges of provision of infrastructure for improvement of quality of life in urban areas with an ever increasing population. In this connection, the implementation of recently launched national missions and programs assumes great importance and would go a long way in mitigating the challenges of urban planning and development that we face today.
I am sure that the Congress would deliberate on all the relevant issues on the themes concerned and suggest implementable recommendations for sustainable development of our towns and cities.
