CSIR Central Road Research Institute CSIR CRRI is holding an International Conference on Pavements and Computational Approaches
Monday, November 12, 2018
I am pleased to learn that CSIR – Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) is holding an International Conference on“Pavements and Computational Approaches” on 16 th and 17th November, 2018.
India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies. To sustain this momentum, the quality of transport infrastructure, especially the roads, needs to be substantially upgraded. To achieve the objective of good quality and long-lasting roads, extensive research efforts are needed for developing innovative materials, improved pavement design and maintenance technologies. Actual field performance evaluation of these new and innovative materials and technologies has been an area of concern for engineers. However, the advent of modern computational techniques and data analysis approaches has greatly helped in resolving this problem.
CSIR-CRRI has been a leading research institution in the area of road & road transportation since its inception. Research efforts carried out at CSIR-CRRI have helped in evolving several manuals, codes of practice and specifications.
I am sure that the outcome of this conference would help us in designing and managing our road assets in a better way.
I wish the participants and organizers of the conference my very best.
