I am happy to learn that the Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan is organizing its Annual Festival of “Phool Waalon Ki Sair” from 14th October to 22 nd October 2016.
The “Phool Walon Ki Sair” is one of the finest examples of the composite culture of Delhi and is symbolic of communal harmony and shared heritage of age old communities living in Delhi. Over the years the “Phool Walon Ki Sair” has helped foster mutual love and respect among different communities living in Delhi. Floral Chaadars and Pankhas are offered at the Dargah of Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiar Kaaki and floral Pankhas and Chhatris at the ancient Temple of Yogmayaji. These Pankhas, Chaadars and Chhatris symbolize our shared culture. The “Phool Walon Ki Sair” is an important signpost of that rich legacy.
I extend my warm greetings to the Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan on this auspicious occasion and wish the festival my very best.
