I am pleased to learn that the 73rd Raising Day of Directorate General of Home Guards, Delhi is being celebrated on 6th December and a Souvenir is being brought out on this occasion.
Home Guards is the auxiliary force which helps in maintenance of internal security, promotion of communal harmony, and responding to emergent circumstances such as earthquake, fire, flood, etc. The role played by Home Guards is unique and their invaluable and self-less service is praiseworthy. I am sure that the Directorate will continue to work with the same fervour and enthusiasm in future also.
